The country like Burundi, whose medical services and socio-economic life are inadequate, underfunded and too often inaccessible, is unable to have the medical equipment necessary to control and resist COVID-19. this fund will be used to purchase face masks, medical protective gear and COVID-19 test kits for its nurses and primary care physicians for immediate and long-term delivery.
The COVID-19 pandemic affects Burundi, a developing country with pre-existing health problems, few quarantine beds and medical facilities in both urban and rural communities, particularly in prisons, schools, centers for people with disabilities, street children, orphans and other communities of already vulnerable people such as in refugee camps and returnees are rare. COVID-19 exacerbates the socio-economic misfortune that the population lived and lives at present.
