Dear Supporters,
Every girl deserves the chance to grow up safe, healthy, and free from harmful practices. Across many rural communities in Nigeria, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) continues to threaten the lives, health, and futures of countless girls. While significant progress has been made globally, many families still face pressure to continue this harmful practice because of long-standing traditions and misinformation.
Thanks to our early supporters, Empower Future Initiative is building a grassroots movement to protect vulnerable girls before they are harmed. We are preparing community awareness campaigns, engaging traditional leaders, and developing educational materials that explain the health risks and human rights implications of FGM.
Your support is helping us lay the foundation for lasting change. Every donation contributes to community education, survivor support, and advocacy efforts that challenge harmful social norms. Together, we can help families choose safer, healthier futures for their daughters.
Please consider sharing this project with friends, colleagues, and networks that care about girls' rights, gender equality, women's health, child protection, and ending gender-based violence.
No girl should suffer pain in the name of tradition. Together, we can help end FGM in Nigeria.
Best wishes,
Empower Future Initiative Team
