Preventing Female Genital Mutilation is far more effective than responding after harm has already occurred. Once a girl undergoes cutting, the physical and emotional consequences can last a lifetime.
That is why prevention remains at the heart of our project. We aim to identify high-risk communities, educate families, and build protective systems that safeguard girls before they are harmed.
Community awareness, school education, and survivor engagement are key strategies that help prevent future cases. By addressing root causes and social norms, we can create lasting change that protects generations of girls.
