The COVID-19 pandemic marks an unprecedented time that will require the best of humanity to overcome. Coronavirus has taken thousands of lives and spread to nearly in the all country. Your donation to this project will support immediate and relief in Youths who are HIV positive during one of the most challenging times we have collectively faced.
The Coronavirus pandemic threatens everyone's way of life, but it is especially difficult for people who are HIV positive and with weak immune system, including those rural Youths individuals experiencing homelessness, wage workers and those with inflexible jobs since our country is stretched now during the lock-down. As of March 25th, there are more than 14 Coronavirus cases across Uganda with numbers rising each day, rapid transmission, rising and increased impact.
Your donation will help give the resources we need to act quickly and protect HIV positive youths. Get masks and other lifesaving medical supplies deliver their ARVs medication, food supplements and essential items to struggling families and rural youth individuals in quarantined towns and camps, support hygiene awareness efforts, as the situation evolves, the fund will transition to support longer-term recovery and education efforts.
Prevention of diseases is one of the cores to our work - we have been responding to HIV in rural Uganda. Like in other disease responses, we designed a peer approach program that aims to not only provide immediate relief, but also build the capacity of HIV positive patients to respond to future outbreaks.
