CISV focuses on peace education, diversity, human rights and sustainable development. CISV offers a range of local activities, international camps, and community-based projects. They are organized by our 20 volunteers and our 40 families for young people. Participants have the opportunity to engage in camps abroad and connect with children of various nationalities. More than 300 children have participated to international camps since the creation of CISV Ouest in 2017, while also hosting camps.
CISV focuses on peace education, diversity, human rights and sustainable development. It is essential to support this organization, whose mission is to promote peace around the world. In this period where international conflicts are recurring, this mission must be upheld. This is why we are planning to organize a camp in 2026, bringing together children aged 12 to 13. They will spend 15 days together working and reflecting on concrete actions to foster peace globally.
During the camps, children discover new cultures, are exposed to differences, and enrich one another through their interactions. They learn not to hold preconceived notions about others despite their differences and not to judge based on behavior. The focus is on getting to know each other without prejudice, fostering greater tolerance. Together, they learn to discover themselves and live harmoniously as a community.
In the long term, the goal is to turn these children into committed ambassadors of peace around the world.
