Dear Partners,
The forests of the Afi-Mbe-Okwangwo landscape are among Nigeria's most valuable environmental assets. These forests support endangered wildlife, regulate water systems, and absorb significant amounts of carbon dioxide that contribute to climate change.
At the center of this ecosystem lives the critically endangered Cross River Gorilla. As habitat loss continues across many parts of Africa, protecting these remaining forests has never been more important.
Through this project, Empower Future Initiative is promoting forest conservation, climate action, biodiversity protection, and community development. Local conservation efforts reduce illegal logging, discourage destructive land use practices, and strengthen awareness about sustainable resource management.
Every donor contribution helps preserve critical gorilla habitat while supporting communities that rely on healthy ecosystems for their future. Forest conservation creates benefits that extend far beyond wildlife protection. It strengthens climate resilience, supports clean water sources, and helps maintain ecological balance.
By supporting this project, you are investing in both environmental protection and human well-being. Together, we can ensure that future generations inherit thriving forests and a surviving population of Africa's rarest gorilla.
Thank you for helping us protect nature and combat climate change.
