This project provides trade school scholarships to vulnerable women in Rwanda. It is our hope that through both community support and skills training they will become successful entrepreneurs, support their families as needed, and create lasting, generational change.
Due to financial restrictions, many women are forced to quit their education after secondary school. Without university degrees or trade school training they may lose many potential growth experiences and opportunities to make a living, and cannot alter the fabric of their society for the better.
Safi Life is a not for profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing female entrepreneurs in Rwanda. Education creates lasting generational change and helps to eradicate poverty. Our organization is comprised entirely of volunteers, so 100% of the donations go straight to university tuitions and school fees!
When African women are educated and able to provide for themselves, they can and do make a significant impact on their society overall. Proven to be responsible with their money, many choose to create start ups and give back in incredible ways to the community that supported them. Rwandan women are strong, and set a beautiful example of how females can become leaders among even the most difficult circumstances.
