Challenge

On Monday 6 February, a deadly earthquake hit Turkiye and Syria. The nearly 12-year war in Syria has forced millions of people to flee. Now, many are fleeing the devastating earthquake that has claimed thousands of lives. The disaster happened amid a severe winter storm at the coldest time of the year. Now every minute counts, and there is a need for a massive scaling up of our work.

Solution

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is assessing the situation in order to provide direct support to those most affected across Syria. A massive scale up is needed and our organisation will be part of it. We are on the ground in Syria providing lifesaving assistance such as winter packages, food, water, clothing and blankets.

Long-Term Impact

When you support us, you save lives and build safer futures.
