2019 Excellence in Marketing & Communications Award

Washington, DC, June 19, 2019 – GlobalGiving is pleased to announce that it has won the Content Marketing award in The Conference Board’s Excellence in Marketing & Communications Awards Program. This prestigious program honors organizations for their innovative use of communications technologies.

“Each year, we highlight how organizations across different industries have achieved their goals through their integration of innovative technologies into their communications and marketing strategies," said Jen McClure, Principal Distinguished Fellow at The Conference Board's Marketing & Communications Center, and Chair of the Center's awards program. "We are very pleased to honor and showcase the pioneering work of GlobalGiving as part of this year’s awards program.”

GlobalGiving has been recognized for excellence in creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to engage, attract and retain a clearly defined audience.

“Under the leadership of Marlena Hartz, our Senior Content Marketing Manager, GlobalGiving was able to exceed our business goals, increasing our number of content-acquired nonprofit applications by 183% in 2018. This means even more nonprofits have access to resources in the form of GlobalGiving donations, tools and training. We also increased our community’s share of voice in our Learn Library, adding 100% more nonprofit leaders as authors compared to the prior year. This helped us create better content, from a more diverse set of leaders who are leading important conversations in aid and philanthropy,” said Alison Carlman, GlobalGiving’s Director of Impact and Communications.

Award nominations were submitted as case studies and reviewed by a panel of The Conference Board’s Fellows and Advisory Board members. In its 13-year history, this awards program has honored more than 300 organizations through this prestigious awards program.

GlobalGiving representatives will accept the Excellence in Marketing & Communications Award at The Conference Board’s 24th Annual Corporate Communications Conference on June 26-27 in New York.

Founded in 1916, The Conference Board is the member-focused think tank that provides trusted insights for what's ahead.
