Oke Charity exists to give every child the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, especially those who do not fit the traditional classroom. We do this by transforming school grounds into outdoor classrooms where learning becomes hands-on, inclusive, and connected to the real world. Since 2016, Oke has partnered with schools across New Zealand to create outdoor classrooms through community working bees, bringing together teachers, families, volunteers, and local businesses. By combining education, sustainability, and community action, Oke helps schools create lasting spaces where tamariki can build confidence, curiosity, and lifelong skills.
