For any woman or girl, whether she is a survivor of trafficking, abuse, or living in poverty, a positive test brings the immediate terror of social stigma. In our culture, to "lose face" is to risk losing everything. The faces of those we serve are diverse, but the vulnerability is shared. Last year, over half of our beneficiaries were teenage girls, quite literally, children having children. Yet, regardless of age, the isolation is profound. Both women and young girls carry a heavy burden of shame. They fear being cast out by their families, losing their livelihoods, or being pushed permanently into the margins of society. Without a support system, this fear often leads to dangerous abortions or a lifetime of poverty for both mother and child. Our Mission: Founded in 2010, Mother's Heart is Cambodia's first - and still the only - NGO that provides specialized crisis pregnancy support to vulnerable women and girls across Cambodia. We provide a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space where a woman or girl can finally pause, breathe, and find refuge from the world's judgment. Our mission is to empower, equip, and educate women, girls, and their families through professional counseling, support services, medical care, and community involvement. We offer a "third way" - a path of unconditional love where she is supported to choose the best possible future for herself and her baby.
