The Hungarian Helsinki Committee (HHC) is a leading human rights watchdog based in Budapest, Hungary, founded in 1989. We work for a democratic society, which is based on human dignity, where everyone is able to exercise their rights freely. We help those whose human rights have been violated. Our clients are refugees, detainees and people who became victims of discrimination or of law enforcement violence.
