Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting children affected by displacement in northern Nigeria.
When a family is forced from home, almost everything becomes harder.
Finding food becomes harder.
Finding clean water becomes harder.
Getting medical care becomes harder.
For young children, the consequences can be serious.
A child may begin losing weight. Their growth may slow. They may become sick more frequently. If malnutrition becomes severe and is not treated, their life can be at risk.
This project will provide nutrition and medical support to 100 children affected by crisis and displacement.
Children will receive malnutrition screening, medical checks, nutritious food and treatment according to their needs. Their weight and growth will be checked during the project so that signs of improvement or further concern can be identified.
Children who need more specialised medical care will be referred to health facilities.
Parents and caregivers will also receive guidance on feeding and caring for children during difficult circumstances.
For a child facing hunger, timely care can make a life-changing difference.
