Together we deal in HOPE!

What a privilege it is to have 365 new days of opportunity ahead of us, ok well 360 new days are left. I want to make sure that since I have the honor of seeing this New Year, I have a responsibility to make the most of this privilege.

One of the things the children say to us is that KTD196 brings hope! Hope of a different future, hope of a better future, hope that life will improve, HOPE! You are carriers of HOPE! Yes, it can be overwhelming to think that all you did was give money but I am serious. Through your gift, we are able to bring HOPE where there really is not much available. HOPE is a choice, but it takes time, effort, and energy to shift thinking from that of being a victim or fatalistic mindset to realizing that it is in the small choices we make every day that produce the greatest positive or negative impact.

Because of your support during the Christmas season and the Giving Tuesday fundraising with corporate gift cards and general gift cards we are able to continue with all our programs into the New Year. This is a wonderful start to the year.

When we return to work on the 10^th of January, we will be brainstorming our plans and scheduling our activities for the coming quarter which include continuing the Children’s Program, Food4Life program, and the Self Help Groups.

I am so grateful to you for your support. We are able to continue to change lives, families, and communities.

I wish you could personally experience the impact we have, the excitement we see on the children’s faces, the joy on the faces of the ladies as they meet on a weekly basis to save money, learn how to run a small business, and support each other, the happiness they all share as they are working together building food gardens to sustain their families. TO that end I want to invite you, especially since we are no longer on the red list, to come and see for yourself the impact of your donation. Also, you can watch various interviews with the children and adults, particularly women, we have supported over the year. The link to our YouTube station is below.

From my Family to yours Merry CHRISTMAS!

As we approach Christmas I just want to say thank you so much for your support, whether you are new to us this year or have been traveling on this journey with us for a while now, I want you to know you are special to me, to us!

You have enabled us to survive as an organization through very difficult seasons, which means we have continued to be able to support the children, their families, and their communities through your support.

Earlier this year, as a result of covid limitations, I reported that we lost a number of children to the program through problems particularly with not being able to access the schools we were working in. I am very proud to say in this last quarter we have not only reclaimed those children but have increased our numbers substantially. I am also very happy to report that we finally have an open door into the schools in one particular district and will no longer be held back by politics or indifference, combined with the fact that other districts are watching closely our impact with the possibility of rolling our program out provincially.

This is due to your support, you are intrical. Because of this our reach to more children, families, and communities will be exponentially increased. What an amazing Christmas gift to be able to share with you.

Thank you, you are so special to me.

Over the course of this year, some of you have dropped me emails to encourage me, ask questions, and give feedback, I LOVE IT! Thank you. When I say we are a community I really mean it. You are the reason for our success. Our success is in the impact we are having on the children. The positive behavior changes we are seeing, the changes we are seeing within the families and ultimately the communities.

I pray during this season that you and your families will be kept safe and healthy, that you will be refreshed and strengthened for the year ahead and all that it holds.
