Project Report | Dec 21, 2020
Merry Christmas to ALL!

By Louise and the KTD196 Dream Team | Jack of all trades, master of none!

2020 Will certainly go down in infamy!

As this difficult year draws to an end and 2021 remains so uncertain, I want to thank you for your belief in what we do and your many-faceted support from words of encouragement, recognition of the work we do, expressions of concern, donation of food, clothing, and resources. Without your support, we would not have been able to feed so many people.

In fact, we have been able to give the equivalent of over 36,000 meals since the start of the pandemic. PLUS 2,400kg of Epap (a fortified Epap with all the essential nutrients required daily), plus seeds for 150 home gardens and started a number of community gardens to stave off hunger, malnutrition, and stunting.

The key to the amazing things we have done this year despite the challenging conditions is we try to always remember why we are doing what we are doing. We tell ourselves we are here to save and change lives. We are here to provide hope and bring back smiles to the faces of these kids who have known nothing but hunger and poverty.

This mission of ours cannot be achieved by us alone it will always be through the cooperation of people like you who have been supportive of our programs. We hope that in the coming months and years we will surpass the goals we have achieved right now which has been threatened by this pandemic. We are sure that through your continued participation in our cause we can accomplish this dream of ours together.

Again, on behalf of everyone comprising Keep the Dream196, we thank you!

We wish you well and a happy and peaceful end to this year.

With much gratitude

Louise

Just a few quotes that have entered our common language in 2020!

  • You’re Breaking Up!
  • You’re on Mute!
  • Your connection is bad, could you repeat what you have just said!

  • Can you see my screen?
  • Let me know when you can see my screen!
  • Nothing from my side!
  • Can you hear me?
  • My mute button was stuck!
  • Hello!!!
  • Excuse the background noise!
  • Switch off your video it is disturbing me!
  • Switch on your video I want to see you!
