Thank you so much for your gift to the children of Limpopo, you are so precious to us.

Firstly I just want to say thank you so much for your support personally over the last two months, as I shared I have been in hospital, and I'm recovering well from a major operation. It has blessed my heart to have people from our GlobalGiving community, donors such as yourself, contact me and ask me how I'm doing. This really is a community of supporters, it's not just about the work we do, it's a reflection of who we are as people and so I just want to say thank you for caring about me as well.

I have tried to keep up with sending thank you emails but these have been delayed so I do apologise for that, now that I'm back at work part time hopefully this process will become quicker. I also preset 8 reports to be sent out over the last two months, but now I'm at a point where I can create the reports and send them out again, except for this one which is a day or so late, my apologies regarding the delay.

One of the reasons this report is late is because we have been at camp for the last six days, we took 19 participants, 19 scouters to camp, to train them on the third level of adult leadership. It was the first time in Limpopo that we had run what we call a Woodbadge course and it was a great success which is so exciting. From the 19 adults we had our partners from JVC, Seeds of Light and Bush babies attend as well as 5 of our staff plus 4 others who are ex beneficiaries who have returned to assist and help with overall sustainability of the program.

This training enables the adults to assist the children to reach the highest level of scouting, the SPRINGBOK award. The participants had to learn the scouting skills to train the children, particularly in pioneering but also how to council children in need, keeping children safe from harm, how to develop leaders of excellence, all very exciting information and practical skills which you sponsored. Each adult will return to their troop of between 20-60children and implement these skills. You made this possible. You supported this training.

Thank you

Louise

My name is Dudu, I am from JVC, I loved the training course. Now we can take our children to the next level. Now I have the skills and so do my team, to care for the children but also to help them reach the top award. We work in a very rural area called Mpego, there is not much support but KTD196 comes every month to ensure we are doing right by the children, that we have the skills to assist them, and to help us problem solve any issues we have.

We are very grateful for their support.

Thank you Louise and your team.
