This project will empower 4,000 rural children in Rajasthan through the "My Childhood, My Right" campaign. Through rallies, poster competitions, signature drives, awareness sessions, and creative activities, children will learn about child marriage prevention, child protection rights, and available helpline services. The campaign will strengthen their confidence, encourage self-advocacy, and inspire communities to protect every child's right to a safe, healthy, and educated childhood.
Child marriage remains a serious social issue in many rural communities, depriving children especially girls of their education, health, safety, and childhood. Due to poverty, social pressure, lack of awareness, and traditional beliefs, many families continue to arrange early marriages. Children often do not know their rights or where to seek help when facing such situations, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation and lifelong disadvantages.
The project will reach 4,000 rural children through interactive awareness activities that promote child rights and protection. Public rallies, poster-making competitions, signature drives, lectures, and social media-based selfie campaigns will educate children about the dangers of child marriage and the importance of education. Information about child protection mechanisms and helpline services will also be shared, enabling children to seek support whenever needed.
This initiative will create a generation of informed, confident, and empowered children who understand their rights and actively oppose child marriage. Increased awareness among children, families, and communities will help reduce the prevalence of this harmful practice and promote education, gender equality, and child protection. The campaign will send a powerful message throughout society that every child deserves a safe childhood, quality education, and the freedom to achieve their dreams.
