This microproject focuses on closing and securing two open sides of the future Healing Haven medical unit. By building these walls, we create a controlled, biosecure environment essential for treating vulnerable animals. Without proper isolation, infections can spread and recovery is at risk. This step is critical to transform a basic space into a safe, stable medical unit where rescued animals can heal, be monitored, and truly have a chance at life.
Right now, animals in recovery are placed in specialized steel cages designed for medical care, but they are kept in the same room where treatments and veterinary procedures take place. This shared space increases the risk of infection, stress, and complications for already vulnerable animals. The project aims to create a separate, dedicated medical and quarantine unit, ensuring proper isolation, safer recovery conditions, and a controlled environment where animals can truly heal.
This microproject will solve the problem by closing and sealing the open sides of the space, allowing it to function as a separate, enclosed room. By building these walls, we create a physical barrier between the treatment area and the recovery space, reducing the risk of infection and stress. This step is essential to establish proper isolation conditions and move closer to a fully functional medical and quarantine unit where animals can safely heal.
This unit will save hundreds of lives every year by preventing infections and enabling proper recovery. It increases our capacity to rescue critical cases and creates a permanent, high-standard medical space. With this infrastructure, the most vulnerable animals will always have a safe place to heal and a real chance at life.
