ACDI has established a new partnership with a globally recognized organization, the NGO JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT. JUNIOR contributes to active learning in financial education, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship, preparing young people to take control of their future. It fosters an entrepreneurial mindset in millions of youth, empowering them to be the architects of their own lives.
As a first activity, more than 40 students from two schools in Tucumán participated in the "CUENTAS CONTIGO" course. This course aims to teach young people how to budget, save, invest, and manage money to plan and make informed financial decisions that support their life projects.
This initiative complements the projects that ACDI is developing in the province of Tucumán, strengthening local economies and providing practical tools to help the population improve their personal financial management in their daily lives. The goal is to enhance the financial attitudes of the recipients, enabling them to improve money management, become more proactive, develop negotiation skills, and acquire saving habits. These elements are essential for breaking the vicious cycles that keep the most vulnerable families trapped in poverty.
The students in the final year of the high schools we work with come from families facing socio-economic vulnerability. Their parents may be unemployed or have precarious jobs, and they experience socio-demographic vulnerability due to their considerable distance from decision-making centers and even from higher education institutions for pursuing a professional career.
The collaboration between ACDI and JUNIOR promises to strengthen, reaching even more young people!
