In rural communities in southern Tucumán, access to technology and digital skills remains a major barrier for young people seeking better opportunities, including financial education and pathways to employment.
In this context, we recently opened a new NANUM Connectivity Center in Santa Ana, in partnership with local authorities and allies. This space provides young people and the broader community with access to digital tools and training opportunities that are essential for their development.
Originally planned for March, the opening had to be postponed due to severe flooding that affected the area, leaving many families in vulnerable conditions. Today, the center represents not only access to technology, but also a step forward in the community’s recovery.
Initial activities have already begun, starting with digital skills training for local staff, who will support the next phase: opening the space to young people. There, they will begin developing essential skills for financial education, employability, and greater autonomy.
In communities where opportunities are limited, access to a space like this can make a real difference in a young person’s future.
Thank you for helping us create more opportunities for rural youth.
