For our founder's birthday this month, we are celebrating all women. We have documented Native women’s stories for years and are honored to be a platform for them. This month, 3G is spotlighting United States Representative Sharice Davids. As a member of the 116th Congress, Rep. Davids became one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress and the first LGBTQIA+ Native American in Congress. As a college student, she focused on community development, working on Native American reservations, which led to her White House fellowship in 2016. She won a seat representing Kansas in 2018.
Davids advocates for innovative solutions to combat climate change and ensure a healthier world for future generations. Her efforts include promoting clean energy technologies, protecting public lands and waters, and supporting sustainable projects to build a healthier, more resilient Kansas.
