A Future for Her – Widows Empowerment Program
Detailed Report and Support Request
Project Overview
The 'A Future for Her' program is an empowerment initiative led by Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal, designed to support widows in rebuilding their lives with dignity and independence. The core of this program is to train widows in tailoring and garment production, equipping them with sustainable skills and a pathway to financial stability.
Training Duration and Process
The program spans a period of six months, which includes both theoretical education and hands-on practical training. Participants will be taught essential sewing techniques, fabric handling, clothing design basics, and business skills. Upon completion of the program, each trained widow will be provided with a brand-new sewing machine to help her start her own home-based tailoring service or small business.
Post-Training Support
Our commitment does not end with training. Al Ehsan Charitable Foundation Nepal plans to collaborate with partners and local markets to help participants find suitable platforms to sell their products. This support system ensures their journey toward financial independence is ongoing and sustainable.
Current Status
While the project has been well received and partially supported, we have not yet secured even half the required funding to officially launch the training program. Our team is ready, and the need is urgent, but without sufficient resources, we cannot begin.
Acknowledgment and Appeal
We sincerely thank all the generous donors who have already contributed to this cause. Your belief in the empowerment of vulnerable women is deeply appreciated.
We ask for your patience as we continue our preparations and finalize the groundwork. We also warmly invite new donors and supporters to step forward and join us in launching this important initiative.
Together, we can give these widows a future filled with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
We need your support. Let’s build a better future – together.
