During the last quarter, the programme reached 1,719 individuals through community outreach, awareness workshops, school health screenings, and targeted health interventions. Women and girls accounted for 925 beneficiaries, representing approximately 53.81% of the total people reached.
Key activities during the quarter included health and menstrual hygiene awareness sessions across schools and communities, a range of diagnostic, treatment, and physiotherapy services. These interventions helped underserved community members access timely and affordable healthcare while strengthening awareness around preventive health and wellbeing.
Harshada, 14, a Class 9 student, participated in a free CBC and blood group testing camp organised by the Mann Deshi Healthcare Centre at her school. All students received their test reports, helping them understand their blood cell counts, haemoglobin levels, and blood groups. Harshada appreciated the Centre’s continued efforts to provide accessible health services to students through regular camps and new initiatives.
Amina, 17, an athlete had been experiencing menstrual health concerns for two to three years. After consulting doctors at the Mann Deshi Healthcare Centre, she received appropriate treatment and medication. She also participated in a menstrual hygiene guidance session along with other girls, where healthcare professionals provided information on menstrual health, hygiene, and care. Within a month, Amina experienced significant improvement. She shared that the presence of female doctors made her feel comfortable discussing her concerns openly and helped her access treatment that made a meaningful difference to her wellbeing.
Jijabai, 51, a farmer, had been experiencing severe back and knee pain due to the physical demands of working in the fields. After learning about Mann Deshi Hospital through community members, she visited the facility and was advised to undergo X-ray and blood tests at an affordable cost. The tests identified concerns related to her spine and knees, along with calcium deficiency. She subsequently received calcium injections, medication, and a ten-day physiotherapy course. Following the treatment, she reported a 70% reduction in her back and knee pain. She has continued to access healthcare services at Mann Deshi Hospital whenever needed.
These experiences reflect the programme’s commitment to making affordable, accessible, and quality healthcare available to underserved communities, while placing particular emphasis on women, girls, children, and individuals who may otherwise face barriers to timely treatment.
