This campaign was a small-scale initiative designed to provide a centralized platform for collecting donations and distributing funds among our members during the holiday season. Although limited in scope, it proved to be a meaningful pilot effort and offered several important lessons for future campaigns. One of the most valuable insights gained was the critical importance of coupling fundraising initiatives with a well-structured and strategic communications campaign. While we succeeded in reaching some supporters, we now understand that a more comprehensive approach to outreach could significantly enhance visibility, engagement, and donor participation.
Going forward, we plan to implement more campaigns of a similar nature and will prioritize clear messaging, storytelling, and regular updates as part of our overall strategy. Stronger communications will help us build awareness, foster trust, and better convey the tangible impact of contributions across our network.
The European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) is a non-profit organization that unites national food banks across Europe to combat food insecurity and reduce food waste. By partnering with food businesses and other stakeholders, FEBA members recover surplus food and ensure it reaches vulnerable communities. In addition to redistributing food, FEBA promotes long-term solutions to hunger and advocates for policy change to support a more sustainable and inclusive food system across the continent.
