Dear donor and friend, You Know Who. It’s time to tell you about our progress, and Merlin, who unexpectedly sneaked into our lives as a reminder, that there are so many feline friends out there, needy to be sheltered. Finally we found an architect, who hopefully will soon start to design a plan in order to get a permission for construction. But cats can’t wait and show up, whenever they need food, shelter or just a purry conversation from cat to human. Merlin rescued himself, one day he was just there, hiding in the bushes, starving and so eager for a home. He was also sick, probably suffering from feline immunodeficiency virus, and he had nowhere else to go. So we created his own territory for him, far away enough from our own cats’ space, and built a two-storied house. He got neutered and still takes some medicine to strengthen his immune system, gets his daily kibble and soft food with tuna, loves sunbathing and belly-rubs and simply feels at home. It was that easy, but we can’t receive them all, so we may not forget our wonderful project, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
