Winter has arrived in Fushe Kosova, and the cold felt in every corner of the country. Yes, cold days are here, but the hopes in our hearts for a brighter future for people of neighborhoods 28 and 29 are warming us.
While the sun was shining on that cold day, my eyes were amazed by the bright blue of Azure. During these months, we covered the roof with tiles, and we hired a company that will take care of plastering and insulate the center. Isolation of the center will save electricity, and the space in the center will be warmer.
It was a pleasure to meet the women of Parenting Classes in Fushe Kosova, and every one of them has a story to tell. Unfortunately, these incredible women never had the chance to go to school and get an education. Thanks to the activities we carry out at our center, they had the opportunity to be part of Parenting classes to attend literacy and numeracy lessons. Now they can see that a good education is extremely essential for everyone to grow and succeed in life regardless of religion, age, ethnicity, etc.
The main aim is to make improvements in the roots of families because it is the same as building something that you have to start from the ground up to get to the roof. We need to strengthen the roots to have children who want to be educated and expand the range of their knowledge.
For the Vezire, educating children is now much easier because her children are attending The Ideas Partnership activities. So, they have more opportunities than she had when she was a kid.
Vezire continued 'I did not have the opportunity to go to school, but my children have that opportunity, and I'm happy that thanks to Parenting Classes activities, now I can help my children with homework. My dream came true the moment I sat in that chair and listened to the teacher about the importance of education. Now I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and if you ask me about the new center, I will say a miracle created by generous hearts."
