Shwopnochura Shafat Memorial School in Ashulia (Outskirts of the Capital city Dhaka) is ready for operations. We hired three teachers for the school and they will be trained to follow the Social Emotional Learning curriculum emphasizing on building caring and curious learners.

We got donations to make furnitures for three classroom setting. Got donated toys. Funding is needed to buy instructional materials and at least ensuring 6 months salary for the teachers. We are also looking for support to provide healthy snacks during the school hour to the kids. We are starting with few number of students from Pre-K. AFter school programs on computer learning, english language, arts will be launched soon.

As the area is in the rural setting , one of the bigegst challange is to find the right teachers. This is why, we hired university students to support the initial stages of learning at Pre K and Kindergarten . Also raising fund for screens in the class to bring in expert teachers teaching the class online with the aid of assistant teacher present in the classrooms.

We are planning to build a comunity library inside the school to promote reading by creating the space to inspire young people in the community to read and grow.
