By Martha Fleury | President, Abaco Strong
It is hard to believe that it has been over a year since Abaco Strong has partnered with Abaco Youth Baseball. Kudos to the athletes and the coaches for everything that they have accomplished this past year. I would like to highlight The Pink Panthers, our girls softball team. They have really developed as athletes and individuals over this past year and a half. Four of our girls were named to the Bahamas All Stars, and we could not be more proud.
Our Junior and Senior Boys had a great run at the National Tournament, coming in fourth place overall, which we consider a great accomplishment. They have worked very to make it to Nationals and have improved so greatly in a such a short time. They have definitely learned that discipline and hard work pays off in the long run.
We would like to send a huge thank you to our volunteers from Liquid Legacy who came out to help paint the Bathroom facility which has now been completed. Many thanks to all of our donors who helped to make this project possible. This facility will not only serve Abaco Youth Baseball and Softball, but the whole Community in Murphy Town and beyond.
