Clubfoot is a condition that affects children all around the world, including Albania. Depending on the severity, it requires surgery to correct within the first weeks/months of a child's life. This is when ABC Health Foundation, in coordination with the child's orthopedic doctor, begins the process of fitting the children with special shoes which "grow" with the child and are attached to a brace which allows the child's feet to grow into the right positions. Parents are trained how to daily use the shoes & brace and this process is monitored by our ABC physical therapy team. Once the child has gone through this process, they have an opportunity to walk, run, and jump just like normal. It is a great privilege for ABC Health Foundation to offer this service over the course of the last 3 years and we have seen dozens & dozens of children helped. With your kind partnership, we look forward to seeing many more children cured from clubfoot in Albania.
