ABCF's education investment focuses on building strong foundations and sustained outcomes. From early childhood through primary education, our approach addresses the long-term, interdependent drivers of success. Our goal is to enable learners and teachers to thrive academically and personally through: school infrastructure improvements, nutrition programs, the supply of learning and teaching materials, and conservation awareness education programs.
Primary schools in rural communities across Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe face persistent socioeconomic barriers. Educational outcomes are constrained by unsafe facilities, limited teaching materials, non-functional school gardens that weaken nutrition programs, and gaps in early childhood education. These conditions directly undermine learner safety, attendance, and academic performance.
Investing in local schools will directly improve student safety, attendance, health, and academic achievement. Strengthened nutrition programs will reduce absenteeism and improve learner concentration. Safe classrooms will increase instructional time, while updated materials will support literacy and numeracy development. Digital access will introduce foundational 21st-century skills essential for future opportunities.
Improved infrastructure will create a more conducive learning environment, supporting better attendance, pass rates, and student progression. Expanded access to resources will enhance educational quality for both learners and teachers. The project will also nurture conservation-conscious youth who value biodiversity, while improved nutrition will support healthier, more focused students and contribute to an overall better quality of life.
