My name is Benafsha, and I am a mother of five children, three daughters, and two sons. Unfortunately, I lost two children during my first and second pregnancies, which occurred several years ago. Otherwise, I would have had seven children in total.
I have been living in this area for many years, and for the past 6-7 years, I have been benefiting from the services provided by this Health Facility.
I first learned about this health facility when it was located in its previous location. My neighbor suggested I visit it while I was pregnant. I am very satisfied with the services offered here. During my pregnancy, they provided me with free vitamins and tablets to prevent anemia. Most of our medical needs and check-ups can be done here. While there is a small entrance fee, it is much lower than what I would pay at a private clinic or the time and expense of traveling to a public hospital in Kabul.
The female gynecologist at the clinic is very kind. She assisted me during my last three pregnancies, providing pre and postnatal care. When I had deliveries during the night, I had to go to the main maternity hospital in Kabul city since this clinic does not have night shifts.
I also come here for my children's vaccinations. The vaccinator always reminds me when it is time to bring my child for their next vaccine
Today, I came for my postnatal check-up and to receive family planning advice. My baby is three months old, and the doctor recommended an IUD, but I will need to schedule another appointment in three months.
We are fortunate to have this clinic in our area, and I even bring my relatives from our village here when they visit us. They don't have a clinic in our village, and it takes them two hours to walk to the nearest one. My aunt had a kidney problem, and after the doctor prescribed medicine, she recovered.
We are grateful for the support provided to this clinic and for thinking of us. In this country, it is rare to encounter people with kind hearts who care for others. Everyone is busy with their own problems and often doesn't have time to think about others.
