For children and youth in street situations, every day can bring challenges—from limited access to education and healthcare to unsafe environments and uncertain family circumstances. Childhope Philippines Foundation, Inc. works alongside these children to help them build safer, healthier, and more hopeful futures. Through its programs and services, Childhope supports more than 300 children and youth in street situations, providing opportunities to learn, grow, receive care, and develop the confidence to pursue their dreams.
Education is at the heart of Childhope’s work. Through KalyEskwela, its mobile education program, children are provided with learning opportunities, educational support, and assistance in staying connected to school. The program helps children strengthen their academic skills while encouraging them to continue their education despite the barriers they face. Childhope also provides youth development and skills-building opportunities that help young people prepare for employment, entrepreneurship, and greater independence.
Health and well-being are equally important. Through KliniKalye, Childhope brings basic healthcare closer to children and families in street situations through medical consultations, health education, checkups, medicines, vitamins, and referrals when specialized care is needed. Meanwhile, the Delivering Hope Program provides psychosocial support, counseling, case management, home and school visits, and assistance for children facing difficult circumstances. These services recognize that caring for a child means addressing not only physical health, but also emotional well-being, protection, education, and family needs.
With the support of GlobalGiving donors, Childhope can continue reaching more children and youth with essential services and opportunities that can change the direction of their lives. Every contribution helps bring education closer, provide healthcare and nourishment, strengthen mental and emotional well-being, and equip young people with skills for the future. Together, we can help children in street situations move beyond survival and toward a future filled with dignity, opportunity, and hope.
