A Safe Place to Start Again
Today, we are not just sharing numbers. We are sharing stories of courage, resilience, and hope.
Our organization continues to operate—despite growing financial pressure—two Day Center locations for Ukrainian refugee children in Romania. Each month, over 30 children walk through our doors.
They come carrying more than school bags.
They carry fear, loss, and the weight of leaving home behind.
And here… they begin again.
In our centers, children find more than services. They find stability.
Every day, we offer:
We are not just helping children learn. We are helping them rebuild their lives.
Real Impact, Real Change
The transformation is visible.
Children who once felt lost in a new country are now:
For a child forced to flee war, these are not small steps.
These are life-changing victories.
A Story of Courage: Olga and Irina
Olga and Irina are part of our Day Center in Braila—a place that has become their safe space, their support system, and their second home.
But their story is not just about attendance. It is about courage.
Olga is only 12 years old. She studies in the 6th grade at “Dimitrie Cantemir” School.
Recently, she achieved 1st place at the County Stage of the National School Sports Olympiad.
Irina followed closely, winning 2nd place, with the same determination and strength.
But beyond these medals lies something far greater.
This is the victory of children who had the strength to start over— in a new country, in a new language, among unfamiliar people. And not only to adapt… but to shine.
Behind these achievements are hours of hard work, moments of doubt, homesickness— and also support, encouragement, and people who chose to care.
These children are not asking for much.
They need only one thing: A chance.
And when they receive it… they do extraordinary things.
The Reality We Face
Today, we are still here—running multiple programs for refugee children and adults, offering support, stability, and hope.
But funding has dropped sharply.
And unless something changes, beginning in July, we will be forced to let go of some of these programs…
maybe even those that children depend on the most.
At the same time:
We are standing at a critical moment.
Do we stop here— just when children like Olga and Irina are beginning to thrive?
Or do we continue— and give them the future they are fighting so hard for?
We cannot do this alone.
Your support means:
This is not just a project.
This is a lifeline.
