Ukrainian impaired children need your support!

Dear friends!

Our days here in Dzherelo Centre pass with joy during these final warm days of Ukrainian autumn. Soon, the weather will grow colder, rainier, and more humid. Therefore, we are making the most of our strolls around the Centre to ensure that our children can breathe in some fresh air, have fun at the accessible playground, and fully enjoy outdoor activities.

The work at our institution continues at an extremely high pace. Dzherelo Centre remains committed to providing rehabilitation, day care, mobility equipment, and humanitarian aid. Our transportation program is diligently bringing children to Dzherelo and back home. We are also maintaining the side branches of day care and the Rehabilitation Equipment Workshop. Our dedicated staff members are motivated and ready to be here as long as it takes, providing unwavering support and care to children and young people with disabilities who need it the most.

Dzherelo Centre has also been focusing on its development plan and new possibilities. We have formed a prosperous and personal friendship with Eddie Wayne Jr and his wife Tatjana Trickovic, the director and project manager of The Bridge of Life. Together, Eddie and Tanja have created the most magnificent playground for the children of Dzherelo! Additionally, the Centre has embarked on an ambitious project to establish the Centre for Assistive Technologies, further extending our support to those in need of communication, mobility, or rehabilitation equipment.

Last, but certainly not least, Dzherelo has undergone a significant merger with four municipal institutions from the social sector of Lviv. As the Centre for Social Services Dzherelo, we will now provide support not only to children and youth with disabilities but also to orphans, individuals facing challenging life circumstances, lonely senior citizens, struggling families, and homeless individuals. Our team has expanded from 170 employees to an impressive 500 persons! How great is that!

Dzherelo Centre will continue to provide social services and humanitarian aid within the framework of this project to those in need. We all know that winter is approaching, and it is vital to be prepared. Ukraine is aware that its energy infrastructure may be challenged once again, potentially leading to severe power shortages for citizens. Therefore, it is crucial to prepare now, while we still can.
