Donate 500 Fruit Carts in Pakistan

The recent floods in District Buner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, devastated the local economy, destroying more than 800 shops—from small kiosks to large businesses. A once-thriving 2 km-long bazaar market was completely washed away, leaving families without income or stability.

To restore livelihoods, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has provided 15 flood-affected individuals with salon and hairdressing equipment, enabling them to reopen their shops and restart earning for their families.

Story of Change

One barber who received the equipment shared:

“When my shop was destroyed, I thought my livelihood was gone forever. Today, with these tools, I can start again. My children will not go hungry.”

This reflects how timely support restores not only businesses but also dignity and hope.

Use of Funds / Progress

Thanks to your contributions, Alkhidmat has been able to:

• Provide salon kits and barber tools to 15 families in Buner

• Kickstart small businesses in an area where the economy was paralyzed

• Begin the process of rehabilitating flood-affected marketplaces

Future Plans / Next Steps

We aim to:

• Expand livelihood support to more shopkeepers in Buner and beyond

• Provide seed capital and business toolkits for other professions (tailors, cobblers, vendors)

• Work with local communities to rebuild destroyed marketplaces
