At Ama Ghar, we understand that every child has their own personality, and each one of them is good at something - often we have to explore many options in order to find that "something". In the case of Bhupendra, whose nickname is "Bhupi", he is a very kind boy, but is a bit shy about his stuttering. He took the initiative, though, and has set some goals for himself to try to engage with his new classmates and overcome his shyness. He is such a sweet young man that he serves as the calm and mature energy in the boys unit.
What we discovered about Bhupi is that he is exceptionally physically talented, and now that we have resumed our morning Tae Kwon Do classes post-pandemic, he has become a superstar! If you've seen our videos of the boys doing Tae Kwan Do - the boy you saw doing the wildest kicks and the most expert moves was probably Bhupi. He just competed in the District Tae Kwon Do championships and took third place. He will compete again this month and if he can move up to second or first place, he will join the National Tae Kwan Do team - we are so thrilled for him!
Since this big self-esteem boost, he has also taken the initiative and is taking extra-curricular I.T. Training. No matter what happens next, we will support this terrific young man and look forward to seeing him through to a successful life. Thank you for the part you played in making that happen.
