Sonika (8), Jen (4), and Soniya (2.5) arrived at Ama Ghar in June 2024. They had been intercepted by police while they were being sold to human traffickers a few weeks earlier. Unable to find any other immediate family, their rescue group contacted Ama Ghar because they knew that we would take in all three siblings and raise them together.
The siblings were stoic when they first arrived but, with each other as support, they acclimated quickly. Sonika and Jen started school shortly after they arrived. They are both very smart and are picking up English quickly. Soniya is eager to start school and will join the other little ones at nursery school soon. These three children are resilient, bubbly, engaged, and funny.
Sonika, Jen, and Soniya have the opportunity for a bright future that was nearly stolen from them. Thanks to generous donors like you, Ama Ghar budgets to take in four new children each year. Because of this, we were able to welcome Sonika, Jen, and Soniya and raise them together as siblings. When you donate to Ama Ghar you give children like Sonika, Jen, and Soniya the opportunity to change their lives. Thank you for your support.
