Too often in Canada animal abusers do not face justice. Through your support, CFHS has been working to change that by building the National Centre for the Prosecution of Animal Cruelty - a training and resource program for Canadian Crown Counsel dedicated to securing animal cruelty prosecutions that result in more convictions with higher sentences. Created in partnership with Chief Animal Protection Officers, Crown Counsel in multiple provinces, and specialized veterinarians, we are in the final stages of development of a four part webinar series, a manual and an on-line case law database. Our launch is scheduled for January 2015.
We need your help on Global Giving Bonus Day to have all the documents, the case law database and training sessions translated into French. We need an additional $16,000 to make sure that all prosecutors in Quebec have equal access to these invaluable resources.
A quick word about us:
The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS) is the only national voice of Canadian animal welfare. We represent humane societies and SPCAs across the country working to build a humane Canada.
We value your support and ask that you help us today, on Global Giving Bonus Day, to achieve matching funds from Global Giving!
All the Best,
Barbara
