Paw Patrol : Your Latest Update

By Leah Crabtree | Project Leader

We're thrilled to bring you the latest news from our incredible K9 Unit, whose unwavering dedication continues to be instrumental in protecting our wildlife and ensuring community safety.

We currently have a formidable team of 7 highly trained dogs and 12 dedicated handlers working tirelessly on the ground.

Over the last quarter, our K9 Unit has been exceptionally busy and effective, demonstrating their crucial role in safeguarding our mission:

The K9 unit was involved in 25 incursions, showcasing their active presence and rapid response capabilities.
Out of these, our dogs played a significant role in 13 successful follow-up cases. Their ability to track suspects and locate crucial evidence has been instrumental in disrupting illicit activities. We'll be sharing a detailed story about one of these successes soon!

We have truly exciting news regarding our three new bloodhounds: Bedzer, Watson, and Keena! These energetic youngsters, now 1 year and 5 months old, have completed their initial training with flying colors. On February 23, 2025, they underwent a rigorous assessment and were officially certified by the Kenya Police K-9 Academy, marking the successful end of their initial training. They are now ready for deployment and eager to contribute to our vital conservation efforts!

We are incredibly proud of all our K9 unit dogs and their handlers. They work tirelessly to keep our community and our rhino populations safe, and we are grateful for their dedication and service.

Your generous support makes their vital work possible, thank you for your support.
