Report on the AXTA (Aporta) Program of the Community Foundation in Favor of Single Mothers and Vulnerable Young Women (FUNCOMAS) Period: December 2024 – February 2025

Location: FUNCOMAS Foundation in Dominican Republic

1. Introduction

The AXTA (Aporta) program is a participatory donation initiative within the FUNCOMAS Foundation, designed to mobilize solidarity from individuals and small businesses to support single-parent families in vulnerable situations. Through the collection and distribution of in-kind and monetary donations, the program aims to improve the living conditions of single mothers and their children by providing essential resources.

During the period from December 2024 to February 2025, the program successfully collected and distributed various donations, benefiting a significant number of low-income families. This report presents a summary of the donations received, the beneficiaries reached, and the achievements made.

2. Donations Received and Distributed 2.1 Types of Donations

The donations received were classified into three main categories:

Food and essential goods
- Basic food baskets including rice, beans, oil, milk, flour, sugar, canned goods, and other essential products.
- Diapers, infant formula, and hygiene products for babies.
Clothing, footwear, and household items
- Clothing for women and children in good condition.
- Footwear for all ages.
- Basic household items such as sheets and kitchen utensils.
Monetary donations and service support
- Small businesses and individuals contributed financial donations used to purchase medical supplies and provide urgent assistance.
- Volunteer professionals offered free medical consultations and legal advice to mothers facing emergencies.

2.2 Quantity of Donations Received

During this period, AXTA successfully collected:

320 kg of food and essential goods.
180 pieces of clothing and pairs of shoes donated by businesses and individuals.
USD $420 in monetary donations, allocated to medical supplies and urgent assistance.
10 volunteer professionals (doctors, psychologists, and lawyers) provided free advisory services.

3. Program Beneficiaries

The AXTA program impacted 65 single-parent families during this period, distributing resources as follows:

40 families received basic food baskets and essential goods.
20 families benefited from clothing, footwear, and household items.
10 families in critical situations received financial support for medicine and medical assistance.
5 single mothers received free legal advice on child support and protection against domestic violence.

The distributions were carried out in an organized and equitable manner, prioritizing the most urgent cases and ensuring transparency in the allocation of resources.

4. Results and Achievements

65 single-parent families received direct support.
320 kg of food and essential goods were distributed.
USD $420 collected for medical assistance and urgent needs.
10 specialized volunteers provided free services to beneficiaries.
5 single mothers received legal counseling on child support and domestic violence issues.

The AXTA program has had a meaningful impact, not only providing material assistance but also fostering community support and strengthening the assistance network for single mothers.

5. Conclusions and Recommendations

The AXTA (Aporta) program has proven to be a key initiative within FUNCOMAS, generating a real impact on the lives of many families. The continuation and expansion of this program are essential to further support the well-being of single mothers and their children.

Recommendations:

Expand the network of collaborators to increase the number of donations received.
Organize more awareness activities to encourage community participation.
Explore new fundraising strategies, such as charity raffles and community markets.
Implement a follow-up system to assess the impact of donations on beneficiary families.

Operations Report of the Foundation

Period: August - September 2025

Introduction

During the period from August to September 2025, the Foundation for Single Mothers and Vulnerable Youth (FUNCOMAS) carried out various activities aimed at improving the quality of life for our beneficiaries. These activities included the distribution of gifts and essential supplies, as well as medicines to address urgent needs of single mothers and their families. This report outlines the actions taken, resources used, and the impact achieved.

Activities Conducted1. Distribution of Gifts to Beneficiary Mothers

During this period, the foundation organized the distribution of gifts to single mothers participating in our social programs. This activity aimed to promote emotional well-being and strengthen the sense of community.

Number of beneficiaries: 250 single mothers.
Types of gifts distributed:
- Personal care kits (lotions, hygiene products, etc.).
- Toys for children under 12.
- Food vouchers.
Delivery dates:
- August 15 (Northern Region).
- August 20 (Central Region).
- August 25 (Southern Region).

The events included motivational talks and integration activities for the beneficiaries and their families.

2. Medicine Distribution

In collaboration with local pharmacies and donors, the foundation distributed essential medicines to address chronic conditions and specific treatments for beneficiaries and their children.

Number of beneficiaries: 320 mothers and 400 children.
Medicines distributed:
- Pain relievers and anti-inflammatory drugs.
- Nutritional supplements and vitamins.
- Medications for common respiratory illnesses.
Methodology:
- Pre-distribution medical assessments conducted in partnership with community clinics.
- Organized distribution points by region.
Delivery dates:
- September 5 (Northern Region).
- September 12 (Central Region).
- September 19 (Southern Region).

Impact Achieved

Emotional empowerment: The gift distribution provided not only material relief but also moments of joy and recognition for the mothers, boosting their self-esteem.
Health improvements: The medicine distribution allowed families to access treatments they otherwise could not afford.
Community strengthening: These activities fostered connections between beneficiaries and the operational teams, reinforcing the foundation's mission.

- Monetary contributions from sponsors (total: $85,000 MXN).

- 45 volunteers in logistics and distribution activities.

The “APORTA, Collaborative Donation Project” is an initiative by the Community Foundation in Favor of Single Mothers and Disadvantaged Youth (FUNCOMAS). This project aims to gather goods from individuals and companies to improve the quality of life of people living in poverty. During the period from April to June 2024, we conducted significant donation activities to support the beneficiaries of our foundation.

Project Objectives

Collect and distribute goods to improve the living conditions of people in poverty.
Foster community engagement and corporate social responsibility through collaborative donations.
Provide essential items to support the education and well-being of disadvantaged individuals.

Activities ConductedDonations of Beauty Products

Description: Beauty products were donated to the young female students of the foundation.
Beneficiaries: Young women enrolled in FUNCOMAS programs.
Impact: The donations of beauty products aimed to enhance the self-esteem and confidence of the young women, providing them with personal care items that they might not otherwise afford. This contributed to their overall well-being and personal development.

Distribution of Food Baskets

Description: Food baskets were distributed to 40 families in need.
Beneficiaries: 40 low-income families.
Impact: The food baskets contained essential food items, ensuring that these families had access to basic nutrition. This effort alleviated immediate food insecurity and provided much-needed relief to these families.

Project ImpactDirect Beneficiaries

Number of Beneficiaries: Over 100 young women and 40 families.
Impact Description:
- Young Women: Received beauty products that boosted their self-esteem and provided them with necessary personal care items.
- Families: The food baskets ensured that these families had sufficient food supplies, improving their quality of life and reducing the burden of food insecurity.

Evaluation and Conclusions

The “APORTA” project has made a significant positive impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. The donations of beauty products have helped the young women feel more confident and cared for, while the food baskets have provided essential support to families struggling with food insecurity. The collaboration between individuals, companies, and the foundation has been instrumental in achieving these outcomes.
