By Luciana Palacio | Project Leader
Camila is a third-grade student from a rural community in Tucumán. Through her school’s agro-educational garden, she learned how to care for the soil by recycling organic waste and building a compost system.
But what she learned didn’t stay in the classroom.
At home, Camila decided to create her own compost system using kitchen waste. This small action sparked a big change: her mother began separating organic waste, and together they started reusing plastic bottles to grow plants in their yard.
What began as a school activity became a family effort. Camila’s mother also joined school workshops and started using the Kokue app to improve their garden, especially learning how to manage pests with natural solutions.
Today, their garden provides food, strengthens family habits, and reflects a new way of caring for their environment.
With your support, more children like Camila can bring learning home—creating lasting change for their families and communities.
