"Online Olympiad" project had great success

We have created a virtual educational environment, where the given opportunities of new media are used for the benefit of young people, and the information technologies are used as an active factor in the educational process in which they get the answers of their questions from that environment. The project helped young people to raise their journalist, research and creative skills by using information technologies.
I am Vigen Mkrtchyan. I am a student in the collage of Armenian State Pedagogical University, and at the same time I have participated in “Online Olympiad” project organized by Zartonk-89 NGO. Now we have created online center where I am involved in its works. I and the participants of Olympiad visit to remote regions of Armenia, present our “Online Olympiad” project to involve new members in online center. The young people in the remote regions of Armenia are very interested in our project and they wish to have active participation in it to obtain knowledge and skills on the sphere of media. There are also villages where the Internet connection is not available for young people, they haven’t computers but they have great desire to be members in online center. We would like to help them to solve that problem. For solving the mentioned problems we work out different projects and apply for various donor organizations to support these young people.

We have had progress during the implementation of “Online Olympiad” project
- Assisted in online club creation for 300 youth journalists in different regions of Armenia
- Assisted in improvement of journalism, research and creative skills for the youths with the usage of information technologies in Armenia
- Created virtual educational environment where the new media opportunities are used with the interest of youth and information technologies are used as an active factor of the education process and they receive their answers of the questions through this environment
- Helped youth journalists to explore the opportunities of new media usage
- Explored and encouraged the best materials and articles of youth journalists
- Gave chance the youth journalists in different regions for exchange and cultural experience
- The participants of “Online Olympiad” project established online club and they get in touch with the members of online club in different regions, organize online competitions, Olympiads, round tables, seminars, meetings, make decisions and do suggestions
Hello, I am Mariam Saribekyan one of the participants of “Online Olympiad” projects organized by Zartonk-89 NGO. Now we have established online club and active participate in club activities. With the help of online club I have had many friends and bright impression. I am sorry for this time I could not participate in the meeting of online club members. At first I would like to thank the organizers of Online Olympiad that they remember me and entrust me such responsible work. I hope I can justify all the hopes of voters and will try to do everything in my power. I think we are all being literate and intelligent people, we will be able to work systematic and expand our horizon as it is in everybody’s interests.
The project helped us to improve journalism, research and creative skills with the usage of information technologies.

Hello I am Nare Gareginyan, I study on the 9th form at school N 83 in Yerevan.
I have participated in “Online Olympiad” project on right and journalism organized by “Zartonk-89” NGO. I like to participate in various competitions on educational development, research, and raising the creative mind. I have been awarded with prize on journalism for my done work. “Online Olympiad” project played an important role on my knowledge development and had great experience using information technologies as an educational tool. It developed my research, creative, educational skills.
After the project, I began to use the net assessing its all opportunities. I would like this project to be ongoing to involve youth in bright future with its effective work.
