Crutches for Caroline

Caroline Back at Home

Hello, and thank you once again to all our Angel Projects supporters who have been helping us fight against COVID in Rubuguri, Uganda, for the past several years.  One way we've been looking after the health of people in this community is through our Elderly Project.  We most recently have been providing support to Caroline, one of the members of our Elderly Project who has been very ill and in pain for over a year.

Caroline injured her hip over a year ago, and although we have been providing her with regular checkups and physical therapy, she continues to struggle.  Last week, the pain became so intense that Caroline needed to be admitted into the hospital.  Because she has no family or anyone to look after her, The Angel Projects stepped in and took her to the local hospital.  We also made sure that our staff members brought her food to eat while she was in the hospital and took turns staying with her so that she would never be alone.

After several days in the hospital with around-the-clock care and medication, Caroline was given some crutches and was able to return home.  The crutches have been a big help to her and have lessened the pain she's feeling in her hip.  Since her return home, Angel Projects staff have continued to visit Caroline to help her with cooking, cleaning, and bathing.  They have also been providing her with nutritious food that will help her to build up her strength.

Because of your generous support, we're able to provide medical care and daily care to Caroline and many other elderly community members like her.  Thank you so much for your generosity!
