We have big news from our Elderly Project! As you all know, the purpose of our Elderly Project is to provide care and support for the oldest members of the Rubuguri community who have no other means of survival. We want to give these elderly a better quality of life and a sense of dignity during their final years.
One elderly person we're currently working with is Caroline. We've been pleased to provide Caroline with necessities such as a new mattress and bedding, kitchen supplies, nutritious food, and health care. However, our staff members in Uganda recently alerted us to the fact that, despite this aid, Caroline was still living in deplorable conditions, lacking even a kitchen space and a proper toilet. Most importantly, she had no door on her house, which caused her at times to feel unsafe in her own home.
So, we reached out to our supporters and raised the funds to renovate Caroline's home. This work was completed through a team effort and with tons of love. Finally, Caroline's new home is completed and she has a functional kitchen, an actual toilet, and a solid door that she can close and lock in order to fee safe and secure. Caroline is thrilled by her new house and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love on her behalf.
As The Angel Projects, we are so happy to make dreams like Caroline's come true, and we will continue to provide her, as well as the other elderly community members in our project, with the care, respect, and affection that they deserve in their golden years.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this amazing transformation, and thank you to all of our supporters who make our work possible!
