36th Youth Venture Panel Screening
Ashoka Japan hosted our 36th Youth Venture Panel Screening on December 1st in Tokyo. Four candidates presented to become Ashoka Youth Venturers, and 2 were selected to become Youth Venturers. We now have recognized a total of 94 (350 teammates) YV groups since 2012.
Our panelists for this event were Mr. Sueyoshi (corporate sector), Ms. Adachi (welfare sector), Mr. Sano (entrepreneur), and Mr. Sato (former Ashoka Youth Venturer), who listened carefully to all of the candidates and discussed their thoughts.
Anji (Age:18) is holding cooking classes as a tool of youth empowerment in Tohoku.
Moe (Age:20) is holding events to share the experiences of earthquake and tsunami to prevent the next coming disaster around Japan.
Through the next year and beyond, we hope that these Changemakers will take risks, practice empathy, and grow to become innovators that will affect change in the world!
We will hold next panel screening on March 17th, 2019 in Tokyo.
