Dear supporters,
Thank you for your all support, financially and mentally.
We are happy to report that we have elected two Youth Venturers, Yuna and Kaoru two weeks ago! We are very excited to have new members to our community of young changemakers!
Yuna lived in Myanmar for two years until the coup took a place last year. Back in Japan, she realized that many of her classmates are having biased view on Myanmar. She created Yangon Karuta, a card game to learn about Myanmar while giving a chance for Japanese students to think about what's happening in the world. She holds events at schools and local communities and hopes to expand even more!
Kaoru is holding a "playpark" as a way to "unlearn" the attitude among children in Japan, that is, waiting for the orders and following expectations of adults. In her playpark, children are encouraged to make their own decisions instead of asking permissions or directions from adults. At the same time, parents who bring children are asked not to interfere their children's play, and let them decide, be creative, and make mistakes.
Tomorrow, we are holding another selection panel with two candidates. We'll share the result shortly after the event :)
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Yoi
