Indian Association for the Blind (IAB) residing in the village of Sundarajanpatti, Madurai Tamilnadu, is an NGO exclusively for visually challenged people of all age groups. Our Founder Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah started IAB in 1985, with a motive of supporting visually challenged in terms of Education, Employment and Rehabilitation of people in which more than 23700 visually challenged children and youths mainly from rural areas are benefitted.
IAB believes that technology can empower people with visual disability to live dependently and confidently. With this vision, we create awareness, work towards advocacy and provide accessibility solutions to assist people with disabilities in using technology.
Assistive devices will be very useful for visually challenged students to become more effective and reliable. These include many devices that help the students for studying as well as to know more about the technology. We at IAB provide them Braille Books and kits, Audio Books, CD player, and Montessori equipment.
This campaign has supported us in providing assistive devices to Visually Challenged students over the years, raising close to $1,872 since its inception; we are very grateful to generous individuals and residents on behalf of them. This can be achieved only with the help of donors like YOU. Once again, we want to thank the donors for their contributions and also the GlobalGiving who paved the way for us to utilize their donations from all over the world. We look forward to raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
