Moshwani Outpatient Clinic - Kalakan Region

Dear friends of OAAW

It has been a gratifying experience to have been able to keep servicing the less privileged in the Kalakan region of Afghanistan.

Our organization will not abandon those who work hard to keep our projects alive and active.  I would therefore want to give an update of our projects in Afghanistan.

The Outpatient Clinic

• Our outpatient clinic in the Moshwani Payan village is open and serving 9000 villagers.  It has 11 employees, including an administrator, an Internist, a Midwife, two vaccinators, a dentist, a pharmacist, two janitors, a night guard and a driver who brings our staff from the city to the clinic.
• We make sure to keep the pharmacy supply amply provided with birth control medicine, prenatal vitamins, antibiotics, and other medical necessities required of a standard clinic.
• Our clinic has never been closed since Talban took over, and this clinic is free of charge.

OAAW is the only source of support for both projects.  More importantly, we could not continue with these projects without your generous contribution and inspiring encouragement.
