Moshwani Outpatient Clinic - Kalakan Region

Thank you for supporting and standing by our organization during these difficult times.

As you witness, all the changes and some injustices have been happening since the Taliban regime took charge in August of 2021.  Against these odds, I have to mention our organization, the OAAW is stable and continue to do well.

Our outpatient clinic in Moshwani Payan Village in Kalakan province has been busy as ever.  This clinic is the only one left in this region. This clinic was stablished in 2007.

Last year’s statistics show how busy we were:  23,000 patients visited the clinic broken down into (a)  3000 women came for family planning, (b) 5000 got their vaccination, (c) and the rest for medical and dental care.

After the difficulties of making many requests, our 11 employees finally received their first Covid vaccination in May.  Unfortunately the Ministry of Public Health requires patients to get their vaccination from the their  centers in Kabul, the city capital.

Moshwani Payan clinic provides health care for two public schools across the street:  Girl School from 1^st to 6^th grade and Boy School from 1^st to 12^th grade.  Just recently we provided 495 students with stationeries, backpacks, tooth brushes and pastes.

We are very lucky to survive running a clinic free of charge and supporting two public schools under a restrictive government that does not believe in women power.
