Back-to-School Aid for Low-Income Girls

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

Thank you for your support of the Back-to-School Programs for Low-Income Schoolgirls by Equitable Medicaid and Clinical Research Ltd/Gte. Your generosity gives hope to girls who face significant barriers to education in Nigeria.

Currently, nearly 10 million children are out of school, with girls from low-income households being the most affected. Many families cannot afford school supplies, uniforms, or sanitary items, forcing girls to miss classes or drop out entirely. Without intervention, this cycle continues, limiting opportunities for these young girls and widening the gender gap in education.

Donation receieved so far, though vital, is not yet enough to fully launch this program. We urgently need additional support to provide school kits, uniforms, and sanitary pads to girls who would otherwise be left behind. These resources are essential for their regular attendance, confidence, and ability to focus on learning. In addition to material support, our program offers mentorship sessions to guide girls on academic planning, personal growth, and future career paths. Engaging families and communities ensures that education becomes a shared priority, helping girls stay in school and reach their potential.

Supporting this project has long-term benefits. Educated girls have a higher chance of future employment, independence, and healthier family choices. Communities thrive when girls are empowered through education, contributing to social and economic development. By investing in their education today, donors help break cycles of poverty and create lasting change.

We appeal to all supporters to continue giving generously. Every contribution brings us closer to reaching these vulnerable schoolgirls and helping them return to class prepared and motivated. Your support is not only an investment in their education but in the future of entire communities.

With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
